Treadmills come in many colors and sizes. They all have different functions and features. What I want to concentrate on in this article is one particular type of treadmill: the portable treadmill.
What is so great about portable treadmills is that they (obviously) can be moved around. This may seem trivial, but actually it is a huge benefit. It allows people with small apartments to work out at home. It is also very useful in keeping the inherent boredom and monotony out of your treadmill workout: you can just change the scenery and feel refreshed again. Working out in your cellar is boring, but if you can just fold up your treadmill and work out in the garden it is a whole new experience.
A portable treadmill is also nice to have if you travel a lot. Many people have jobs that require multiple travels per year. Taking your treadmill with you is very important from a motivational point of view. It takes month to build up a good habit. But only a few lazy days and you have to start again. But taking the treadmill with you will help you to stay on the right path towards your healthy lifestyle.
But if they're so great, why do so few people own such a treadmill? The answer is very simple: they're expensive. Not everyone can afford their own portable treadmill or spin bike. Only people above a certain income level or the ones for whom fitness is very important buy portable treadmills. If you are not one of these people and still want a portable treadmill, the only way to get around the price is to take a look at some used treadmills and see if you can find a good one. Many of them are just as good as new ones and you can get a big discount on them.
